BRC Analytics (https://brc-analytics.org) is your new destination for analysis of biological data related to pathogens. Building on the legacy of #VEuPathDb the platform will provide access and analysis capabilities for 785 eukaryotic pathogens, hosts, and vectors. The functionality will be developed and made available incrementally over the following months.

At #Fungal26? Stop by my Friday poster about BRC-Analytics; I'll be giving out free UseGalaxy accounts (always free!) and free demos of BRC-Analytics.org (always free too!). If you can't make it, here it is: https://js2.jetstream-cloud.org:8001/brc-analytics/GSA-fungal-2026-poster.pdf

In case you missed it, I gave a talk titled "Reproducing Aspergillus
fumigatus Analysis in BRC-Analytics" at AsperFest. The slides are here: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1Wd37Rntkb3ZYf2zYzAyTlj5aspBh8g95/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=101127789718768943280&rtpof=true&sd=true.

Of course, if you have organisms/assemblies you'd like to see added, or have suggestions about funtionality, let us know!

We are pleased to announce a new release of https://BRC-Analytics.org (v0.20.0). This release updates the number of included organisms to 1900+ with 5000+ assemblies, and over 400 assemblies getting gene track data mirrored from VEuPathDB.org. (1/3)
Additionally, we've added a "Learn" section with several FAQs and HOWTOs along with a few white papers demonstrating the use of BRC-Analytics.org, one looking at evolutionary dynamics in measles and another using AI to standardize RNA-Seq analysis in C. auris. (2/3)

Join us this Friday for the monthly Tools for Tomorrow BRC webinar when Anton will demo analysis of C. auris data that identifies a novel adhesin that allows the fungus to colonize human skin. The call is on Friday, 12/12 at 10AM EDT. It will feature free analysis tools and workflows from https://brc-analytics.org and https://usegalaxy.org.

In case you missed it earlier this week, we released a white paper titled "From data to publication in a browser with BRC-Analytics: Evolutionary dynamics of coding overlaps in measles virus" (https://gxy.io/brc-measles-wp). This walks through the analysis of a public set of measles RNA-seq data, all done FOR FREE.

If you missed the inaugural all-BRC webinar last week, a video is available on YouTube: https://youtu.be/DtuD2YTCT30

Presenters introduced the three BRCs (BV-BRC, PDN and BRC-Analytics) in a tight 30 minutes.

We are pleased to announce a new release of https://BRC-Analytics.org (v0.16.0). This release updates the number of included organisms to 1400+ and a nearly 2000 assemblies (adding many bacteria and helminths), and some significant improvements to searching ENA and the workflow config UI.

Of course, if you have organisms/assemblies you'd like to see added, or have suggestions about funtionality, let us know!

Please join us for a new webinar series run by the NIAID-funded Bioinformatics Resource Centers. These monthly webinars will be held on the second Friday of the month at 14:00 UTC starting on October 10. The focus will be the BRCs' data driven platforms, portable computing resources and interoperability standards, all in the service of the infectious disease research community.
