This looks like a really cool project!

We have spent 100x more compute training AI to generate waifu art than to solve protein folding. I am not saying this is the Great Filter, but if aliens find our radioactive remains, they’re going to be very confused by the hard drives...

@alineblankertz Not sure if this fits what you're looking for, but sharing in case it might be relevant.

People over (lying) machines.

What are good examples of concrete acts of resistance against "AI"? I am putting together an overview and am surely missing great stuff!

I have:
Data centre opposition (thx to @gerrymcgovern )
Examples of sabotage from @asrg
Some ideas about practical refusal from @danmcquillan

Also everyday acts are great (such as not following orders to use "AI") if they are documented somewhere, somehow. Most references tend to be rather vague (e.g. in this otherwise great article

Why refusing AI is a fight for the soul

Author Thomas Dekeyser explains why modern resistance to Big Tech is a deeply sane response to a narrow vision of humanity.

@dusoft Ah, odd!

Yeah, my reply is still here: https://mastodon.social/@botwiki/116302662265785773

"AI models that lie and cheat appear to be growing in number with reports of deceptive scheming surging in the last six months, a study into the technology has found."

Grok, is this true? You must tell me if this is not true.

@dusoft Ha, hope you'll enjoy!

But yeah, the neat thing is, you can always borrow an idea and put your own spin on it.

For example, there's a few bots that post the "Captain, it's Wednesday!" meme. Some only post on Wednesday, some post every day of the week.

My own version posts Monday *through* Wednesday.

@whataweek

I mean, you can't say "what a week" on a Friday πŸ™ƒ
