Excellent networking opportunities and inspiring conversations at the 12th Bioeconomy Science Center (BioSC) Forum!

I had the pleasure of presenting @PuckerLab ’s research activities and exchanging ideas with so many brilliant minds. Excited about the potential collaborations ahead!

Today, @boas_pucker gave an insightful talk on scientific writing and academic publishing for our group (and interested students) at #UniBonn. Covered everything from how to structure a thesis and managing references with Zotero to how peer review actually works - especially useful for early-stage researchers. We will likely run it again this summer when more international guests are around. Interested students at UniBonn could reach out: https://www.pbb.uni-bonn.de

Are scientific publications always right? Not necessarily.

That is why we teach students to critically assess every study. In our Plant Bioinformatics course, students tried to reproduce research on quinoa leaf pigmentation.

Getting ready for the next Python course at the University of Bonn, starting Monday! 🚀

Plant Sciences master’s students can learn how to handle big data using Python, from the basics to applying AI for real-world problems 🌱💻

Really looking forward to a few days of creative coding and problem-solving!

Would you like to confirm your cloning success with full plasmid sequencing?

NanoPlasmiQC allows automatic analysis of dozens of plasmids in a single ONT sequencing run. If you would like to test it with your own plasmids, read more in the preprint and feel free to reach out:

Interested in the genetic secrets of your favorite plant?

A genome sequence might reveal them. We wrote down a workflow from DNA extraction & sequencing to genome sequence assembly & annotation. It includes a hands-on guide with example commands.
