Earlier this month, composer Bernard Rands passed away in Chicago, Illinois. #BMOP was fortunate to program and perform his compositions multiple times in concert, and record the Canti trio of works: Canti dell’Eclisse for bass and orchestra; Canti Lunatici for soprano and orchestra; and the Pulitzer Prize-winning Canti del Sole for tenor and orchestra.
