- always start out in good faith
- try to ask questions instead of stating
- it is not about winning or "being right"
- marxism is not a club that you "get in" and parade around, it is a technique that needs practice and is never "perfected"
- dont throw quotes around as "evidence"
- engage in dialectical materialism to find common understandings and progress together
- listen to criticism, criticise constructively
