The career fair was very fast! I didn’t realize it was middle schoolers not high schoolers so the questions and comments were pretty funny… top questions:
1. What’s the biggest cyber attack you had to fix yourself
2. How can I tell if my free download has a virus in it
3. Did you ever use packets to crash a server at your job?
Other notable comments:
“What even is cybersecurity” (great question)
“Wait… you can build your own computer anytime you want?!” (Well not ANY time I want…)
“You look too young” (…for what?)
It was fun, I laughed quite a bit, and I got a free mug and a cupcake 😆🤷🏻♀️
Time to hopefully inspire some kids to get into Cybersecurity! 👏🏼

Today I walked by some protestors waving both Korean and American flags and shouting angrily through a megaphone. There were "CCP Out!" signs posted on their vans.
Super curious, I looked it up, only to find that they are maga-ing it with the American flags in support of pres. Yoon, who was impeached quickly for declaring martial law.
I felt really embarrassed they were using the American flag this way, and I'm super glad they did not notice my American ass slinking by them and hurrying away down the sidewalk.
My ten year old just told me and my husband she hates us. First time she has said it, but just the other day I told him I felt it coming on.
In case you are asking why… it’s because we won’t buy her a wig for cosplay for the school “dress up day” that was sprung on us this week and is in just a few days.
