Spent the last two weeks setting up a proper NAS with Raid 1 (replacing RPi with external HDD), Docker, and a dozen servers to remove myself from various online platforms and transition back to self-hosted media and meaningful engagement. Feels good!
For anyone doubting themselves: if I can do it you can do it too! It's fun, freeing, and easier than it's ever been before with modern NAS software. I'm genuinely shocked at how not difficult this all has been.
So I had just got done labelling all our living room remotes with the label maker and I was laminating and corner clipping the HDMI chart for the living room when I turned to my wife with the cutting machine in my lap and asked "Are we too extra?"
And she just goes "No, other people aren't enough."
Just a reminder that you shouldn't be down on yourself for who you are. Be yourself, be extra, be weird. If other people don't like it, that's their problem.
Today's travesty: I took Bruce's blankets and memory foam mattress out of his house to clean them. He's now convinced that I don't love him and will be abandoning him any moment.
This is Bruce. He's defiantly blocking me from walking past him with his dinner. He refuses to eat anything other than homemade and blended chicken thigh, green beans, and pumpkin (with dog vitamins). He's so old he has to wear a diaper.
But if you're holding his food bowl he will fight you until you put it down.
So thanks to a bit of unexpected luck I was able to purchase a #PS5 and a small pile of games. Really curious to see the fancy trigger resistance tech on the DualSense. It seems gimmicky but a good friend of mine assured me it's really great.
Very excited to finally get to experience Astro Bot and the Demon's Souls remake. I liked Dark Souls a lot but really loved Demon's Souls. Anyone else play the remake? Is it worth the wait?

This is with ChaOS for better character models and New Threat 2.0 (game type B) for new content/gameplay.
Also added 60FPS and widescreen.

Taken with my Nikon Coolpix S51 (in pink). Anbernic RGP35XXSP on the left sporting MuOS. Fits just fine in my original GBA case! On the right is my Miyoo Mini+ in a 3D printed hard case (from Etsy) running OnionOS. The Anbernic is quickly becoming my go-to due to the RTC, which makes Pokemon games easier to enjoy. And being able to just flip the lid shut to sleep and power off after ten minutes is very nice. But I still vastly prefer the UI of OnionOS on the MM+. What’s everyone else carrying these days?
