@samir @Edent could use an even simpler heuristic of account age. The majority of spam is from "young" accounts that have existed for less than e.g 1y (arbitrary starting choice - pick any time period that balances ease with spam).
Absolutely continue to be delighted with my ~3y old @frameworkcomputer 13 laptop. Managed to break my fingerprint reader (dodgy USB electronics from AliExpress 🤦). Painlessly ordered the replacement part and fitted it now good as new. Haven't owned any other laptop that this would have been possible on.
My new t-shirt arrived, tempted to go to tech meetups wearing it...

Wrote an article about turning a ThinkPad X1 Carbon 6th Gen laptop into a programmable USB device by enabling the xDCI controller 😯

Now I can emulate USB devices from the laptop without any external hardware, including via Raw Gadget or even Facedancer 😁

The overall process included fiddling with Linux kernel drivers, xHCI, DWC3, ACPI, BIOS/UEFI, Boot Guard, TPM, NVRAM, PCH, PMC, PSF, IOSF, and P2SB, and making a custom USB cable 😱

Oh wow. Trump got a hand-me-down Nobel Peace Prize! Did you know: It would not be the first time a Nobel laureate has given his or her medal away: in 1943 Nobel Literature laureate Knut Hamsun gave his medal to Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels.
@Edent In Osaka probably already on your radar but worth a visit to Kinkaku-ji "Golden Pavilion" - incredibly touristy (and busy with both national tourists and foreigners) but it is a world heritage site for a reason.
@Edent Tourist recommendation - when in Tokyo visit Hakone either as a day trip or on your way to Kyoto. Having done it as a day trip on my way to Kyoto I regretted not spending longer and very much rushed doing the "route" (Hakone-jinja Shrine, Sightseeing Cruise, Cable car upto Owakudani - views of Mt Fuji, Hakone Open Air Museum) particularly as could have done more if I staying and spent longer at various things.
@revk sticking with age verification - you know how they will "fix this"? (because it won't be repeal and rework) with a centralised government run digital ID service...which is better right? Though tbf this _may_ not be entirely terrible with zero knowledge proofs e.g https://blog.google/technology/safety-security/opening-up-zero-knowledge-proof-technology-to-promote-privacy-in-age-assurance/
Opening up ‘Zero-Knowledge Proof’ technology to promote privacy in age assurance

Today, we open sourced our Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZKP) libraries, fulfilling a promise and building on our partnership with Sparkasse to support EU age assurance.

@accudio yes certainly in the US I don't think robots.txt offenses have been particularly successful from my brief searches. But as a one weak legal argument against another in a game of shakedowns/ fair licencing it would be a good "offensive" argument to have.
