Today, on International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we honor the strength, resilience, and rights of more than one billion people worldwide who live with disabilities including those whose stories are too often overlooked: displaced persons, refugees, and asylum seekers.
Across Africa and around the globe, people with disabilities face disproportionate risks during conflict, disaster, and forced migration. Many lose access to essential medical care, assistive devices etc

This week, the world shines a light on the courage, visibility, and humanity of transgender people everywhere especially those of us who continue to live in unsafe and displaced environments.
For many queer and trans refugees like myself, awareness is not just a campaign it’s a daily act of survival and resistance. We navigate threats, discrimination, and lack of access to basic needs, yet we continue to speak out for dignity, equality, etc
