Have to admit, #anycubic tri-color filament looks kinda cute.
I thought that the shorted 5V and GND were due to my lousy soldering skills, but this module just happens to be bad. And not entirely soldered. I am so glad I checked it before powering it up...

This thing had so many iterations that I barely recognize it anymore. But it is almost done! A night lamp turned smart card reader, turned to a smart speaker (with light), turned to an RFID jukebox, turned back to just a lamp with a card reader (RFID jukebox going to be software-defined).

Is it just my config, or is there an issue with #esphome 
When using esp-idf and config straight outta documentation, the is speakers and media players don't show up in #homeassistant...
And I also managed to mess up something with domain config, so not entirely sure if the latest post is also up on https://bitsandpixels.io/posts/software-manufacturing/
