Chipping Sparrows Tell Tales of Joy and Sorrow

Does It Have Pockets
Ready for a very quiet week. And the end of summer heat.
#introduction
I’m a writer of novels, short fiction, and creative nonfiction. (And a bit of poetry) I am also a psychotherapist, working for most of my career with developmental trauma. I live on a small horse farm with a herd of 5, and also cats and Corgis and a golden retriever who, as I like to say, believes in love. Native plant gardener, bookworm, keeper of bees. I am loving the absence of ads here.

#BarnSwallow kids peer over the side of their nest watching a sibling making a maiden flight.

Below them, a parent observes the fledgling and stands by, ready to guide and assist.

I get this treat every year ... and this is actually the second family that's moved into the #swallow timeshare.
