Of course, I ask and then I find it. USGS Earth Explorer yielded a series of Corona looks from 1965, declassified in 1996. Indeed, the crater is not totally full!

Have any of my #Canadian fam already looked at this?

The Daniel Johnson dam was finished in 1968, flooding the crater of Lac Manicouagan and finalizing the "Eye of #Quebec". That beats the arrival of #Landsat imagery by 5 years, so there's no imagery in that collection that does *not* include the complete eye.

Is it possible that there's any declassified Corona or Hexagon imagery of the area before it was flooded? Any other public-domain views?
