Fitting for the times that my penultimate remix single has this line:
The city’s coming down
We’ll burn it to the ground
We’ll never end up found
You see the worst abuse
It’s coming thru the news
It folds back into you
“don’t wait” - reimagined by @loopsnake as a moody, sprawling 10-minute club banger - out next Friday 7/11. This remix is delicious.
I am excited to share the next REMIXED CASTLE release: “waste me away” as reimagined by @supersciencesounds
This remix is wild. It starts like a smoky film noir, and grows - via the signature SuperScience synth metal sound - into this intense fireball of emotion. Come for that; stay for the Mr. Bungle-esque carnival horror show that ends the thing.
Out this Friday, 6/27. Also, as a bonus, includes the original 2010 version of "waste me away".

TLDR: I'm doing a flash sale ⚡ REMIXED CASTLE is now name-your-price 🏰
I mentioned last week that I'm divesting all Bandcamp profits to queer/trans creators in need. Nobody's really taken me up on this, so I'm going a bit more boldly to rally some support.
Grab it today and *own* a piece of art, for as little as $1 👇

I don’t have 100k streams, but I do have 7 very nice patrons who have “subscribed” to kid lightbulbs totaling $19.66 of recurring income each month.
After processing fees, that's barely $16/month, or $191/year. But that also makes kid lightbulbs *almost* a cost-neutral operation (in terms of the services I pay for annually, like site hosting and music distribution). And that's *before* one-off sales, much of which I donate or divest, but some of which I do keep.

Buffer just hit its all-time high in ARR (annual recurring revenue), meaning the company is doing the best it's ever done before. The last time we were here was 5 years ago, and then had a period of slow, painful decline until mid-2024.
I gotta say: while I wasn't here for most of Buffer's decline period, it's felt *really* rewarding & invigorating to play a role in its turnaround. Happy to share that we actually did it. We're now officially in uncharted territory for the company.
An extremely underrated perk of remote work: if you have a pet, you can have it around all day long *without* needing to worry about whether a coworker is allergic to said pet
even better if they sit up like a human next to you while you're working
