From NCBI | The next release (v1.4) of Matched Annotation from NCBI and EMBL-EBI (MANE) was just released | https://ncbiinsights.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2024/10/28/mane-v1-4-mane-select-non-coding-genes/
MANE v1.4 with MANE Select for Non-Coding Genes - NCBI Insights

The next release (v1.4) of Matched Annotation from NCBI and EMBL-EBI (MANE) is here!  MANE is a collaborative dataset produced jointly by NCBI and EMBL-EBI that provides a representative transcript (MANE Select) for human protein-coding genes, to be used as universal standards for variant reporting and browser display. A second transcript, MANE Plus Clinical, is … Continue reading MANE v1.4 with MANE Select for Non-Coding Genes →

@RonBeavis Yes, I hear you, and I agree with you ... I hope to be one of the many gate keepers ... Working on a paper on that topic right now, with some great people.

@podfeet @atpfm @relay @mpu @macsparky

But as we used to say when I worked at #oicr (the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research): "F%$CK Cancer"

@podfeet @atpfm @relay I did the same: bought a new Apple Watch (the new black Series 2), and contributed to St Jude's, and I'm also an @relay fan, and an @mpu fan, and an @macsparky fan! Fandum all around!

Just finished making my contribution to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in the name of @atpfm and
 @relay. I figure if I can afford to spend a fortune on an Apple Watch and a new iPhone, I can afford to match that to save the lives of children with cancer. Maybe you can afford a few dollars too.

Hi @RonBeavis, sorry for the late reply. I am being a bit of a #sh%&# disturbed here ... AI is being used in #Bioinformatics, and in teaching ... I think we all need to be aware, and converse on these issues. In the submission workflow of journals I work with I have seen several #Bioinformatics + #Education + #AI papers, and opinions are very mixed!
