Encountered another @kevlin Henney on holiday, Casole d'Elsa, Tuscany.

Is it the stupidity of software, or just me?
Here is a forum page I often visit. Usually it offers to translate to Dutch, which I neglect because English is fine. I thought it (the google translate widget) presented the preselected language based on web standards. There is a preferred language set in browsers for that, which I have set to something alike "en-gb, nl-nl"
But now I am in Italy, it thinks Italian is a good default.
