For Timmy - In Memory 2026

The humpback whale that got lost in the Baltic Sea. The whale wanted to live but didn't overcome the challenges we humans leave behind in our shared seas and oceans.

Although we tried to help and prayed, it ended up not being enough. May we take the chance to finally rectify some of what we have done and are doing so that the brothers and sisters living in our shared seas will be able to thrive and enjoy life.

The former Tegel Airport is still not open to the public and can only be visited on guided tours. This time, we went in search of birds and spotted: common redstart, northern wheatear, common buzzard, kestrel, yellow wagtail, white wagtail, skylark, corn bunting, and common swift.
