If SQL is pronounced "sequel" then surely DNS is pronounced "Dennis"?
We did an update on our PyPI stats post from 2021. Here's the 2026 edition: https://blog.piwheels.org/2026/03/pypi-stats/
@stecks That's good to know. This was just 3 gig tickets so just a quick task rather than a huge job. Used pdfsam years ago and last I checked I think it wasn't in Ubuntu any more or something. I'll check its status.
@hynek Cool I'll check it out. I'm sure PDF manipulation in Python has come a long way since I last dabbled.
Needed to split a PDF into individual pages. Couldn't think of how to do it but Firefox lets you print one page and allows print to PDF. Seems like a hack. What's a more standard way these days? Say on Linux or Mac
CAN'T WIN HERE
@Ryanteck I saw Reform canvassers a street away from here at the weekend. They were out in force in Denton and I'm right on the edge of Denton.
@m1ke You can't break an omelette without distributing eggs by hand.
Note I'm on the very edge of the boundary. The houses opposite me are in a Stockport constuency. Easy to reach by post by the electoral role, but you'd have to know the boundary well if delivering by hand.
Greens were mostly hand-delivered, a few came in the post. Most of Labour were posted. Communist League was hand-delivered. Nothing from Reform or the others.
