I stepped away from Cyber Law and Business Report in 2019 after over 330 episodes. One of my most impressive guests was Kashmir Hill, who has been one of the top privacy journalists in America for a decade. This week, her first book comes out. "Your Face Belongs to Us".

Congratulations to Kashmir, and I hope you'll check out her book.

The Battle of Rhode Island, also known as the Battle of Quaker Hill and the Siege of Newport, took place on August 29, 1778. It ended inconclusively but it is notable for the participation of the 1st Rhode Island Regiment, a locally recruited segregated regiment of African Americans. It was the only major military action to include a racially segregated unit on the American side in the war. #OTD #RhodeIsland
Excellent WashPost article on victims' difficulties with law enforcement in dealing with revenge porn. I once had a case with a repeat offender where they only took a report after the victim spoke with her female city council member, and the party did jail time. https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2023/08/26/revenge-porn-leaked-nudes-police/ #revengeporn
