I’m a husband and dad in the early days of being a hobby farmer.
I enjoy respectful conversation and funny observations about life.
I love tinkering with tech and have been known to change OSes because I got bored.
I was a geek before it was cool and have had the Konami code memorized since Contra was new to the NES.
My kids can sing along to a surprising catalog of late 90’s alt rock.

@edraac same.
So mastodon.online has been pretty hit and miss lately which is completely understandable given all the new folks joining. I’m thinking about jumping to another instance to relieve some of the pressure but is it better to wait it out? For those who have switched instances already, is there anything to look out for? Thanks in advance!
Man….Daylight Saving Time... My body has no idea what time it is right now.
When I was a child I thought that in the future I'd have a flying car. What I actually have is a watch that congratulates me if I stand up enough.
@anildash One of the worst parts of late-stage-twitter was how you had to assume that ~everything you said would be interpreted in the worst possible way. It would be cool if this platform could avoid that fate.
A nice bit of sunshine at the end of a cloudy day…
@ridt My son got one of these when he turned 6! We’ve (both) been having a lot of fun playing with it. It’s great to see his mind starting to make sense of things.
@binarytango @bigzaphod I just spent an unfortunate amount of time trying to remember the phrase ‘the singularity.’
@nickg @MrsMouse This. This is the answer to the question.

I’m still just amazed at the quality of people I’ve met in such a short time in Mastodon. Real people. Sharing legitimate interactions, thoughts, and discussions. I honestly forgot that social media could be like this.
