Blessed with so much as so many innocents are crushed ot blown into dust using the weapons our hands, not unknowingly, still make.
I am so grateful that my family is healthy and near, not yet living in constant fear of the murderous whims of the madmen who rule our empire and revel in suffering for its own sake. Who will be the target tomorrow, the next generation of casualties, suffering reframed as unavoidable or natural, given the circumstances.
Is it Easter if the crucifixions continue?
NO KINGS DALLAS · No Kings

**We have the power and are claiming it together. No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.** What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, spreading from small towns to city centers and across every community determined to defend democracy. Our peaceful movement is bigger than ever. When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence. On March 28th, rise up, take to the streets, and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings. We’re not watching history happen—we’re making it. Join us. *A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.*

I originally posted this with a version of "Steal Away" that adapted the Spiritual, altering its lyrics. A kind friend, Dr. Darrell St. Romain, helped me remember that utilizing it at an ICE protest would constitute an act of cultural misappropriation by a European American, no matter the good intentions. I thanked him for his help and hereby request your further assistance in choosing other music that would be appropriate for a mass protest choir.

Imagine an ever-growing choir turning out fully robed (and in street clothes) to places where ICE and the People's government are both being called on to choose the path of civilization over #InternmentCrueltyExecutions If you'd like to join the group gathering (next step is scheduling), please reply to let me know. Will you send this on to others?
