Thanks #Hotpoint for this design flaw.

The offset PCB button pressing finger broke off at an obvious weak point, a few mg of plastic to reinforce it would have cost nothing.

Impossible to glue or otherwise #repair.

Hotpoint wanted 12 quid for a replacement piece of plastic which should have been free issue as it's a design flaw. Then to add insult to injury they added 7 pounds for shipping.

Why not line up the outside button with the PCB one inside as on the earlier mark of this machine?

Spring cleaning.

I didn't clean the actual springs of course.

I've spent the afternoon turning this into six bottles of pepper sauce (1.5l total) for next year.

Time well spent I think.
