Another good example of the greatest democracy in the world at work. This time in the South Australia state election.

The far-right, racist, One Nation (ONP) getting no seats. Despite the right-wing, racist, media frothing over them for months and banging on about how they are going to win so many seats.

Compulsory voting and preferential voting is great at keeping the extremists at bay.

Well done the good people of SA ๐Ÿ‘

Can't even watch a Netflix movie on my iPad without gambling ads these days. FFS!

a surgeon earning $400k with few investments living paycheck-to-paycheck (very possible if they have a sick parent with high healthcare costs or high childcare prices) has more in common with a food service worker than with Jeff Bezos, but the system is designed to make both workers forget that.
Your regular reminder that "the rich" aren't people who earn large paychecks. They are people with capital that generates returns: investments, property, company shares. "High income earners" are not an intrinsic enemy of "the working class" โ€“ many of them are a member of it!

@mattro @layoutSubviews Yeah it's often best to just go again. The turn it off and on again of gatekeeping ๐Ÿ˜€

@layoutSubviews @mattro I thought that too last week. Overnight approval didn't happen - took two nights. Unusual.

I'm thinking a deluge of AI created apps.

@mattro Oh wow, legend!

I spent seven years in the "move fast and break things" culture on an incident response team. It's a garbage way of doing business.

Maybe share this with your dev friends. And if they're a leader, maybe share it with 'em again in a week.
