Home Assistant just signed me up for an Octopus Saving Session

We have been using the Elgato 4K X for over a year and it has been flawless. Today I did my first firmware update to version 24.12.10. Using the same cables as previously we are getting no pass through sound. If we put the HDMI cable back to the TV directly it works fine.

The source is an XBox Series X. It is not just the games, but trailers have no sound either.

I have this strange Home Assistant posting to Mastodon issues. As you can see it seems rock solid until the early hours of the 17th August. Now my automations return

Error: Could not complete request: ('Connection aborted.', ConnectionResetError(104, 'Connection reset by peer'))

I am running version Version 4.5.0-alpha.2+pr-35868-8ff7346 and ideas what might be happening here?

If the ransomware doesn’t get you, maybe the Windows Update will. No wonder we have problems convincing customers they should patch ever Patch Tuesday as quickly as then can.
