This is so important. One of my favourite interview questions was always “Tell me about a time when you learned something on the job,” because in order to say “I learned X” they have to admit there was a time they didn’t know X and for some people it’s almost impossible to admit they don’t know everything. Even discussing the past they resist a narrative that shows their limitations.
