Embedded-systems-adjacent jack of all tiers, left-swerving but not as active as I should be (wip). Born in the late 20th century, at 350 ppm.

Chronic dabbler. I have many more instruments than I can play well, more knitting needles than finished pieces, and more plants than my brain can care for.

Somewere in the Bermuda triangle of non-binary, agender, and genderfluid, but mostly look like a guy with long hair and occasionally nail polish.

A photo or drawing of a mushroom combined with "this is edible :D" is a bad idea. Bad and good mushrooms can look extremely similar, especially Across The Entire Fucking Globe. Doing it with slop and clearly skipping any quality control may as well be murder.

As a palate cleanser from the frustration of my elephant - I'm new at this, I know, still need to work through it - I'm carving a mushroom now. Which feels like cheating because every organic shape is plausible, but hopefully it's something I can finish.

Looking for reference images, one of the results is a grid of mushrooms with edible/poisonous labels. Gee, I think to myself, this formatting is a little inconsistent. Is that a real name? No, that one's definitely wr-oh goddamn it's slop. The sheer irresponsibility.

"3x more effective*"

"* when compared to diluted alternatives in colder water"

The temperature bit is new. Is this detergent brand's straw competitor getting better?

The Thing I'm carving, a small elephant, is reaching a point where I realize I should've gone for something more abstract. Or looked at a reference sooner.

Been sharpening one of my woodcarving knives (after I screwed it up trying to maintain it), just noticed a little red spot on my index finger and realized I've been slowly abrading my fingertip. Should probably change how I do that?

(knife is better now! and I have some notes for future me for next time because it's slightly uneven in a way that's fine for *this* knife but not for others.)

this is too philosophical right now please go away

Laundry machine's getting old and might need to be replaced*. The biggest challenge, it seems, is finding something that's small and low-power enough that I can run the laundry machine and dryer at the same time. Anywhere that has full-service delivery seems to start at 8 kg/2000 W, while my current one is only 5/800! I can't be the only single person who does laundry.

* or fixed, ideally, but since I can't take the dryer down on my own I can't open the laundry machine up to check so never mind that

The "jump towards the enemy projectile to bounce off of and/or redirect it" mechanic might be my limit. I'm constantly pointing my stick the wrong way. One time you're pointing where you want to go, the other time you're pointing away from where the projectile should go.

(this is not a design error, I'm pretty sure it's very intentionally like this and it fries my brain and that's fine.)
