I have discovered a joyous new thing. Pigeon scaring devices on Amazon. They’re basically plastic models of predatory birds that you stick on your house in the hopes they will scare off pigeons, seagulls, squirrels. They look like this.

I do find this infantilisation of women from what I suppose is meant to be a feminist viewpoint grotesquely misguided. Stringfield married Martin when she was about 35, but the reviewer posits that she can’t have had the ‘emotional maturation’ to understand what she was getting into. He calls her a ‘child bride’. #stevemartin
