Well just after doing a talk @bangbangcon about how we are actually repairing #bridges in the US, the NYT dropped this fun article about how #climatechange is upending normal rates of bridge deterioration.

Fwiw, the National Bridge Inventory *does* track scour risk, but extreme temperature fluctuation would probably need an overlay of specific bridge types susceptible (mostly steel again 😬) and the expected/historic operating temperature ranges.

at @bangbangcon , people asked a lot of questions about my ergonomic setup (a previous version is in a blog post[1]). people thought it was going to be my talk topic, and it probably would have been a good one! I use a mixture of my portable ergonomic setup and talon (which I'm easing back into).

so now my question is: is there another conference I should submit a talk about that to?
