@padipixie hi, you need to use the PUA code points shown on the download page (https://babelstone.co.uk/Fonts/Coelbren.html). Try copy and pasting the characters shown in the table (if the Coelbren characters display OK on the website then the font works correctly on your system).

@oldherl thanks for the suggestion. I have experimented with setting the typographic family name to "BabelStone Han" for all fonts in the family (Basic, Extra, and PUA), which works in some applications but not in others (e.g. Word), although you still have to select the appropriate subfamily so it doesn't really have any advantage over separate family names that all start with "BabelStone Han".
Beta version of BabelStone Han for Unicode 17.0 (incorporating CJK Ext. J), experimentally divided into three separate fonts (BMP, SIP, TIP) because they exceed the 64k glyph limit in the font standard. I may combine the SIP and TIP fonts in the final release, feedback welcome!

BabelStone Han v. 16.0.3 released on 2025-01-01. This is the last release in a single font format as it has hit the ridiculous 64k glyph limit. The next release will add 3,000+ characters, including all China, UK and UTC characters in CJK Extension J. https://www.babelstone.co.uk/Fonts/Han.html
@0xabad1dea Well, that Jurchen dictionary was published in 1984 when there was no alternative (I bought my copy in Beijing soon after it was published, and it's been a constant companion ever since). However, the good news is that the final proposal to encode the Jurchen script in Unicode will be submitted very shortly (by June), so you should be able to write Jurchen on your computer within two or three years.
