Woke Again Christian fed up with organized religion exerting control over politics & capitalist system putting profit of rich over health of planet & basic needs of underprivileged Americans. Sam and I had best day ever. We arrived at the Y just before it opened (24-hour passes) and there was only one guy shooting basketball. No pickle ball or basketball games playing yet. So it was quiet for our walk & Sam approved. Then we went swimming and Sam and I were the only ones in the pool for about 20 minutes when 2 families joined us. Then we stopped to see the couple who ride around Wadsworth on the tandem bike dressed as Easter Bunnies. They always have a costume befitting the season.
Sam came with me to pick up the Domino’s Large, No-Garlic, extra cheese.
Bob came with me to get flowers. We had our first spring-like day with sunroof open in the car and no heat needed due to nice sunshine. We also stopped at the post office and convenience store. Big surgery coming up for Bob next week. Praying for the best outcome ever.
He doesn’t get out much. But Bob joined me for a ride to search for Guinness for our Guinness Irish stew. We both have a decent amount of Irish genes. Guinness Irish Stew is simmering in the stove. Here we our toasting with our bottles of Guinness.
Found some flowers today! Sam’s mom called to say she couldn’t start the generator and needs to l because they lost power. So that’s where the flowers are, under the bay window with a lovely view to the east. After 93 or so pulls of the rope on the generator it finally fired up. I need to set a reminder to fire the generator up once a month.
Then the sun came out again.
The weather people forgot to tell us about this today.
Plane landing at the airport with contrails of three jets heading northeast to Cleveland or Canada.
Sunset across the cul-de-sac.
We had an absolutely horrible winter. But today isn’t so bad. I picked up Sam for the weekend and we went to get the Domino’s cheese, no garlic with the sunroof open. The Dominos is an every day thing, 365/year.
