Leonard’s SubstackWhen I picked up Sam for the weekend, my grandson, Finn, was very busy showing Papi all of his cool toys.
Sam and I had best day ever. We arrived at the Y just before it opened (24-hour passes) and there was only one guy shooting basketball. No pickle ball or basketball games playing yet. So it was quiet for our walk & Sam approved. Then we went swimming and Sam and I were the only ones in the pool for about 20 minutes when 2 families joined us. Then we stopped to see the couple who ride around Wadsworth on the tandem bike dressed as Easter Bunnies. They always have a costume befitting the season.

Bob came with me to get flowers. We had our first spring-like day with sunroof open in the car and no heat needed due to nice sunshine. We also stopped at the post office and convenience store. Big surgery coming up for Bob next week. Praying for the best outcome ever.
He doesn’t get out much. But Bob joined me for a ride to search for Guinness for our Guinness Irish stew. We both have a decent amount of Irish genes. Guinness Irish Stew is simmering in the stove. Here we our toasting with our bottles of Guinness.
