Really hopeful start to this product page optimization... then it all goes downhill 😅

Not bad considering January I was at 8.8k overall. 📈

Been leaning into SEO lately, nice not having to wait on approvals or deal with rejections. 😅

For the first time in nearly 10 years, I just built Buffers iOS app without Texture / AsyncDisplayKit.

A lot of modernization went into this, and with the new Composer almost out the door, the rest of the dominos can fall, including removing CocoaPods and finally being 100% in on Swift Package Manager.

Any app with a single external dependency is only as reliable as that dependency.

I’ve been building @alpenglowapp's own sunrise & sunset forecast model for exactly that reason.

When SunsetWX went down last weekend, I flipped the switch earlier than planned.

Analytics tool hopping for @alpenglowapp 😅

Mixpanel → plans changed, too expensive
TelemetryDeck → didn’t quite click, ended up pricey PostHog → powerful, but complex

Now trying @joshdholtz’s MostlyGoodMetrics. Hoping it’s mostly good and the price is 😍

Mostly Good Metrics – Track events, funnels, and retention

Drop in an SDK, track events, and see funnels and retention without extra setup.

8 years ago I received a tweet from a blind @alpenglowapp user letting me know they use the app to know whether it’s day or night, so they know when to turn the lights on and off at home etc.

I ended up creating a simple, dedicated app called DayNight to make that use case even easier. I’ve dusted off the codebase and rebuilt it in SwiftUI to make sure it doesn’t vanish from the App Store and updates it for modern devices.

Going to also look at adding Alarm support alongside Notifications.

The chequered flag just dropped on 2025…

The 2026 F1 calendar is already live on F1Calendar.com. Time to plan next year’s race weekends 😌📅

Subtle orange or not so subtle orange?
