In hiesigen Gefilden, merke ich, hat man die äusserst ambivalente Rolle #Assange's verdrängt und ergeht sich in teils peinlicher Heldenverehrung. Daher Rückblende zu 2016:
"Assange is well-known for the role #WikiLeaks played in the 2016 presidential election, when it released a massive tranche of Democratic emails that federal prosecutors say were stolen by Russian intelligence operatives... " 👇

The guilty plea by WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange brings a stunning end to a long-running saga of international intrigue that spanned multiple continents and has had as its central character a quixotic internet publisher with a disdain for government secrets. The Australian editor and publisher founded WikiLeaks, best known for the 2010 release of almost half a million documents relating to U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He pleaded guilty Wednesday in a U.S. commonwealth court in the Pacific to conspiring to unlawfully obtain and disseminate classified information. The deal required him to admit guilt but also permitted him to return to Australia without any time in an American prison.

The most toxic fan base is the Star Wars fan base.
This fan base is full of Trump maniacs, misogynists and racists.
But here's the thing:
Star Wars is the exact opposite of those crybabies who live and tweet in their mother's basement.
#KubeCon Day 2
Thanks to #DeutscheBahn for finally mentioning sustainability at the keynote.
Let's hope for #greenIT to not just become the next buzzword, with crypto and AI taking the rap as the only (albeit impactful) culprits.
As elsewhere, we should start with ourselves and ask: what's within our realm? idle dev environments over night? overallocating resources? - unexciting topics, but significant at scale.
PS: spacious rooftop terrace + French springtime is something I can get used to
#kubecon friends, if you wonder how to run SQL databases on Kubernetes (with automated replication, backups, etc) come listen to the pirates this morning, 11am in room C (C like SQL🤭)!
We'll talk about database operators like CNPG, Moco, Percona, StackGres... including our production experience with many of them.
You can see below a snapshot from our dress rehearsal last week 🏴☠️😁
#SouquezLesArtimuses
(now try to get that one trending, omelette du fromage style 😆)
Hey #retrogaming folks, I'm trying to find a DOS game I played a lot, I think it was around 1993. It was a Breakout/Arkanoid type game, very colorful with lots of powerups and stuff.
Its defining feature was that there was no ceiling, instead of bouncing off the top of the screen the viewport would scroll up, revealing more of (basically infinite) the level.
I've been searching and poring over lists of games, but this one seems to have dropped off the internet. Anyone know which one I'm talking about?
