And, come on, these Neuralink presentations have to be intentionally amateurish so that as the technology nears a mass market iteration they can up the polish and show clear progression in the form of their presentation to reinforce the notion of progress.

Musk predicts Neuralink subjects remotely inhabiting tesla robots.

Neuralink’s BCI predicts intentions based on statistical weights metabolised via machine learning from vast accumulations of past neuronal activity paired with the output or action that resulted. (Ditto LLMs)

In this Neuralink update they claim to be a year or 2 away from full brain neurone reading and the ability to write thoughts to the brain. After the so-called telepathy module, a basic BCI for cursor and joystick control, they plan to launch a blindsight module which they claim will restore sight to the blind and extend functioning human sight to vibrations beyond the visible spectrum.
