So I lost power while doing an ATA SECURITY_ERASE on 4x 4TB HDDs. I can't remember what throwaway password I used, since I knew it would be erased along with the data.
There was once a program called A-FF Repair Station by hdd-tools.com, but they're long since gone and you need a login to launch the app.
It's not worth buying a forensic tool like Atola Insight or a DFL-USB, is there any other way to recover these drives, or are they just e-waste now?
(FWIW: all 4 are WD4002FYYZ-01B7CB0 model#.)

TAKE THIS IN…
📌Six ICE cars
📌One dad
📌Two kids left behind crying in a truck
Terrorizing families in broad daylight, in a farmworker town, like it’s a cartel raid isn’t law enforcement—it’s a trauma operation.
We are a fascist state, and I don’t recognize our country.

After a lull in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement activity on California’s Central Coast, a rash of raids has reportedly swept through San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties over the past week.
One notable arrest over the weekend left two children unattended after a man was taken from a gas station by what appeared to be a group of ICE agents.

Observing how the Waymo's behave in urban traffic, it strikes me that 3 or 4 creative cyclists could easily herd one of them. I wonder if any one has considered organizing Waymo Herding competitions (sort of like sheepdog trials, only with AVs and cyclists).
And of course bonus points if you gather more than to AVs together through a specific intersection.
