How Do We Make This the New Normal? 🤍

By now, you might be feeling a little better — or at least more aware of what helps.

The secret to keeping that feeling isn’t doing more.
It’s doing a few simple things often enough.

Regular meals.
10–15 minutes of stretching or a brisk walk.
Gentle gut support.
Letting busy days be busy days.

This January reset was never about rules — it was about building habits that bend, not break.

Making It Stick: Turning Your January Reset into Everyday Habits

Building a sustainable routine involves consistent, gentle habits like regular meals, movement, and gut support, fostering long-term wellness.

Bloating gets all the attention when we talk about gut health, but it’s often not the first sign something’s off.

Fatigue, restless sleep and new food sensitivities can be quieter clues.

I’ve shared more in today’s blog — gentle, realistic and no extreme fixes 🤍

3 Signs Your Gut Needs Support (That Aren’t Bloating)

Early signs of gut issues include persistent tiredness, restless sleep, and food intolerances; small changes can improve gut health.

These any-fish-works fish cakes have officially earned their place in our caravan freezer.
Made ahead at home, frozen flat, then pulled out when everyone’s hungry, tired and not in the mood for a big cook-up.

Fresh fish, leftover fish, frozen or even tinned — it all works.
Add potato (or sweet potato), an egg, a bit of onion, herbs if you’ve got them… done.

They reheat on the BBQ plate, in a pan or (on a good day) the caravan oven.
Serve with salad, wrap them up, or…

January isn’t about restriction.
It’s about getting back to real, satisfying meals.

Simple breakfasts.
Proper lunches.
Sneaky gut-friendly dinners the whole family eats.

No drama.
No diet rules.
Just food that supports your gut, energy, and hormones.

The van has arrived 🚐
And yes… I tripped the power cooking our first breakfast.

I was still on our own property, so the only person truly upset was my son — because I also took out the internet.
Modern parenting milestone unlocked.

One thing I’m setting up early is a cook inside vs cook outside meal system.
Because while garlic and onion are delicious, I do not enjoy sleeping on a pillow that smells like yesterday’s dinner.

So here’s our inside-van, reheat-friendly…

If probiotic tablets have ever left you feeling more bloated or uncomfortable, you’re not imagining it.

When the gut is irritated or healing, adding more bacteria isn’t always the answer.
Sometimes the body needs support first, not overload.

That’s why I love pre- and post-biotic tonics — they help:
• calm and repair the gut lining
• support existing good bacteria
• gently rebalance after illness, antibiotics, or stress

I add mine to a splash of water and drink it…

Pre & Post-Biotic Tonics vs Probiotic Tablets: A Gentler Way to Heal the Gut - At home with Mrs E

Gut healing requires creating the right environment. Pre- and post-biotic tonics support the gut better than conventional probiotics, especially post-illness.

January doesn’t need rules, restriction, or perfection.
