I used to think (in my naivety) that a judge on the Supreme Court was the smartest in the Judiciary โ€” cream of the crop, top of the lineโ€ฆ

But damn I can see thatโ€™s not true because this is some A-class manipulation and gaslighting by Trump Administration lawyersโ€”

And it makes sense that the people directing #Trump during his first term would put judges in #SCOTUS who would roll over for him.

Which means a baby born in New York to undocumented parents will be a citizen. But a baby born to undocumented parents in Kentucky will not be a citizen.

This is madness.

9/ Moss:

Every lawyer in line to advise potential Democratic presidential candidates is drafting right now a host of policies that could be implemented without fear of nationwide injunctions slowing them down.

7/ Brad Moss:

Republicans have to just hope they never lose control of the White House or they are going to HATE this SCOTUS ruling gutting nationwide injunctions.

It was just as commonly used by conservatives to upend Biden's policies through lower court injunctions issued by overly-conservative judges.

As a rainstorm rolled in last Friday evening, hundreds of people eagerly filed through metal detectors at an 1,800-seat performing arts center in McAllenโ€”the urban hub of Hidalgo County in #Texasโ€™ Rio Grande Valleyโ€”ahead of Senator Bernie Sandersโ€™ 13th stop on his nationwide โ€œFighting Oligarchyโ€ tour.

(It's hard to explain but the concept is very simple. By offering a religious opt-out to parents, SCOTUS is setting up a situation where they know the bureaucratic response is going to be to just not teach those materials; since that is way easier and cheaper than developing an opt-out system for every fundie parent in the district. The American education system does not have spare money to spend on "doing the right thing." They will just ban the books, officially or unofficially.)

๐Ÿ”ฎ๐Ÿง™๐Ÿฟโ€โ™‚๏ธ Shout out to everyone that didn't believe me when I said that Elon Twitter would bring back political disinformation ads. Blackstradamus remains undefeated.

Y'all will learn one day. Or not! Either way, I don't argue with y'all. I say what I say, and I collect my receipts.

Political disinformation ads is the only game where New Twitter has an advantage over platforms that aren't terrible. They have the fash-y audience, and will run misleading ads that others won't.
