It resets the clock essentially

Yeah, similar problem to being flying earlier.

Though, this case isn't as clear since the Dart has a better chance of hitting, but it does less damage.

At first glance, I'm actually not sure. The only thing that could influence perhaps is the damage difference, but that is really only relevant for upcasting spells.

We equipped our ranged set since its a flier, so the improvised is using the ranged as a melee.

Interesting edge case though because yeah our melee set is better here. 🤔

To put it in perspective, if we had a weapon+shield, the only way to get to 2 weapon fighting is to buy a 2 handed weapon to replace them both, and then buy 2 more 1-handed weapons, which is a lot more steps (3 shop visits minimum) than needing to buy a shield again in this case (1 shop visit minimum)

@aharper @dungeons

The ranged weapon slots are reserved for actual ranged weapons, thrown weapons do not count for that case.

Replacing the shield is bad for AC, but good for damage output. Ultimately this format has to sacrifice a bit of convenience and make assumptions on what the user would want to replace. We can still buy a shield back and it would replace the lesser damage weapon.
