been getting results for my blood panels back over the last few days. friday evening had the basic metabolic panel, iron, lipids, and glucose+insulin.
surprisingly, most of those figures were actually really good. the only notable deviations were slightly low free calcium levels and borderline high LDL cholesterol, but not in a danger zone.
on the other hand, I got the thyroid results back just a few hours ago. TSH is 29 m-IU/L and free T4 is 0.8ng/dL. the expected range for TSH is 0.4 - 4.5 m-IU. my poor pituitary gland probably looks like the "yes honey" wojak
looking at the list of common side effects for this level of hypothyroidism:

[x] dry skin
[x] hair thinning
[x] weight gain
[x] slowed thinking
[x] low mood/depression
[x] muscle aches
[x] puffiness
[x] hoarseness
[x] slower heart rate
[ ]menstrual changes
12/13 is frankly kind of mind-blowing. I'm sure the doc is going to have some feedback for me tomorrow, but this could really explain a *lot* of things over the last 15-20 years ðŸ˜
