Hey friends! ππ»
Huge favor to ask of you all, @[email protected], @[email protected], @[email protected], and I have a really cool panel up for vote for SXSW on building better culture for non traditional techies.
Voting closes tonight, please vote π³!
The demand for technical jobs have never been lower; a shift that is inviting an influx of more women, non-college graduates, international candidates, remote workers, people with disabilities and underrepresented minorities. But are businesses, educational programs, and community support programs keeping up with evolving needs and the nuances of diversity? Panelists from across the industry will discuss their efforts for encouraging more diversity, welcoming those traditionally outside of the technology industry and providing consistent and impactful community care.
Even if you're not a formal classroom teacher, this talk will be awesome for anyone who:
- mentors people at work
- manages people
- creates content
- gives talks
