Wow, great to see this from #EPFL, their #DeepLearning course with #PyTorch: https://documents.epfl.ch/users/f/fl/fleuret/www/dlc/
Keep up the good work over there in Lausanne!
Wow, just learned that @scott (the author of *the* book on #d3js, http://alignedleft.com/work/d3-book-2e) hasn't just joined Mastodon but has even set-up his own data-#visualization focused instance at vis.social!
If you're at all interested in data and its visualization, you should really head over there.
I've just seen this #PeerTube demo of PeerTube interacting with #Mastodon... Awesome stuff, everyone! And fitting to post this today, I think, now that #ActivityPub is a W3C Recommendation...

The Economist on #GAFAM: “Silicon Valley, we have a problem” http://www.economist.com/news/briefing/21735026-which-antitrust-remedies-welcome-which-fight-techlash-against-amazon-facebook-and?frsc=dg%7Ce
Interesting read, but unsurprisingly very #economics-focused. I miss a bit the mention of technological solutions that would reduce the inevitability of network effects - read: open standards and protocols which allow people to interact across provider boundaries, enabling #decentralization.
