In this one, we have #Google pulling the trigger on Manifest v3 despite a lot of concerns for ad and tracker blockers, #GNOME adding accent color support, some interesting ARM and RISC V devices running Linux, and Mozilla buying an ad focused company:
PSA: #YouTube has begun blocking import on many hosts, including the one we use at TILvids. This means that auto-sync for channels will no longer work, which puts incredible pressure/effort on creators like @thelinuxEXP trying to make content available in multiple locations. Because of this, expect there to be some disruptions in content availability.
This is why it's so important to support non #Google software and services, because they are swiftly becoming a bad actor in the world of #tech
I'm a day late, but here is my video review of the new features you can expect in @kde Plasma 6.1!
A new, better (but still a bit flawed) edit mode for the desktop, explicit sync, triple buffering, input capture portal support (for Barrier-like apps), unified rounded corners, remote desktop support in the settings, Wayland session restore, and more, all make Plasma 6.1 the best Linux desktop, in my opinion:
