Huge respect to @collabora
for driving mainline Linux camera & video capture support on #Rockchip #RK3588!
This upstream work unlocks stable MIPI CSI‑2, VICAP, and ISP paths—game‑changing for vision, AIoT, and edge computing devices.
ArmSoM Boards (Sige7 RK3588 /Sige5 RK3576)are fully benefit from this solid, long‑term mainline foundation.

#ArmSoMSige6 We're defining the storage & memory config for Sige6 (Allwinner A733).
RAM + eMMC prices are still crazy. Which combo makes sense for YOU?🧐#iot #homelab #embedded #SBC #OPENSource #LLM
🗣️Prior to the RK3688 launch, ArmSoM plans to develop two new products in 2026.
Something new is coming to the Sige family.🤓Sige6.
Our first @Allwinner board powered by A733.
And we want YOU to help define it.
Tell us: what would make Sige6 your next SBC?

From three Sige7 boards to a fully managed #homelabcluster.
@mpiscaer built a custom out-of-band management system — similar to enterprise IPMI/BMC — entirely around Sige7 nodes.
🔹 Serial console access over USB
🔹 Remote power on/off
🔹 Automated OS image deployment
🔹 Custom breakout board design
All controlled by a #raspberrypi using the standard 40-pin GPIO.
Next: HAT designs + control software.

Open Source Synergy at #EmbeddedWorld2026 ArmSoM Sige5 (RK3576) shined at
@collabora ’s booth, powering their LAVA Board Farm with mainline-first Linux support!
We’re deepening collaboration: #RK3576 mainline adaptation, ISP mainline integration for our custom camera module, and future Rockchip SoC mainline Linux support together with Collabora.
Grateful for the partnership in building a stronger open source #embedded ecosystem!

From March 10 to 12, 2026, Embedded World 2026 was held in Nuremberg, Germany. ArmSoM’s Sige5 (RK3576) appeared at Collabora’s Booth #4-404 as core hardware in its LAVA board farm, demonstrating mainline-first Linux support — earning high recognition from Collabora officials and exhibition attendees. The two parties reached in-depth consensus on open source ecosystem cooperation, jointly advancing upstream development for the RK3576 platform and embedded hardware.VID-20260311-WA0000.mp4As a worl
Excited to see ArmSoM Sige5 (RK3576) featured at #EmbeddedWorld2026 on
@collabora
booth! 🚀
It’s part of their LAVA board farm, showcasing mainline Linux support across hardware platforms. A great validation of our commitment to open source and upstream stability. 💪
Visiting the show? Stop by Booth 4-404 to see it in action!
Thanks to @Collabora's engineering, the RK3588/RK3576 video decoders are now mainline in Linux.
This is what open source collaboration is all about.
