For any trans people who need to hear this:

Your body is beautiful. You're worthy of being desired, if that's something you want.

Whether you choose to transition or not (and in whatever direction you want), and wherever you are in that process -- you're seen, you are believed, and I'm proud to be your sibling.

When you look in the mirror, you deserve to hear, "Hey, Beautiful." If you don't hear it in your voice, hear it in mine.

Your strength is incredible. You come from a long tradition of transgender people, stretching back to the earliest days of humanity.

Let the haters shout into the void. You don't need to. The Void already loves you. ✨​

I am so incredibly tired of writing posts about what actual poverty looks like only to get replies saying words to the effect of put a jumper on, eat porridge, how dare you have any source of entertainment or pass-times, a dangerously bad home is still a roof over your head, if you were actually poor you wouldn't have a car, etc.

It's ignorance masquerading as informed perspective, it insults the intelligence of >14 million UK residents and it's blamey as fuck.

I've no patience with it.

I do not believe that the Club Q shooter is nonbinary. He never claimed to be prior to the hate attack, no one who knows him has any recollection of it, he genders himself as male in videos and family gender him as such as well.

Is it possible that a deeply repressed Queer person in a reactionary environment that hated him and whipped up on 'groomer' talk tried to resolve some contradictions and make his psychodrama everyone else's problem?

Anything is possible.

What's more likely is this is his lawyer trying to muddy the waters on a hate crime charge by claiming a trans identity that Aldritch doesn't actually have to *do anything* to claim.

He won't have to change how he presents, he won't seek medical care to assist with a binary transition. The ambiguity and flexibility of the nonbinary label is being cynically weaponized by a bigot and his bigot lawyer.

Until there's literally any evidence at all beyond a lawyer's statement of nonbinary identity, don't buy it.

Finally, regardless of how the shooter personally identifies, the killer was transphobia, homophobia, and the right wing moral panic about 'Groomers'.

The least important aspect of this hate attack is how one unfortunately alive bastard identitifes.
