One of the more interesting game design developments I've seen in years is SMM troll levels. They're a running dialogue between level creators and streamers. For example, this great clip from CarlSagan42 involves years of layered trolls: red coin levels, safety coins, key deaths, stun locks, and more. (The gist: this level requires getting 6 red coins for a key, but if you die with the key, you have to restart the whole level. Hence the "safety coin" by the door which is usually last. Usually.)
Samuel Adams makes a 28% ABV beer called Utopias. It's rare, very expensive, and really more akin to a sherry than an ale. I got a chance to buy one on sale recently, and I was delighted to see that the fancy-ass ceramic bottle was still topped with a basic beer cap beneath the screw top. Hilarious!
