Good writing advice:
- You should write
- However much you can
- Or want
- Even if that’s 50 words a day
- Even if it’s 5
- That’s enough
- You’re enough
And look, you didn’t need to pay $499 for a fucking “masterclass”
You might consider using a webhook to avoid polling. But the webhook is just polling in the other end. Polling is all there is. Polling is everything. Polling is, inevitable.
There are many vectors for potential #armageddon, but there is one technology that might be able to assist with all of them.
Homemade offgrid solar system is stable enough these days. All code running #ESPHOME on a cheap ESP32. I use #HomeAssistant only for charting.
It’s a bit out of proportion but the ESP32 (and voltage sensors) use a dedicated 7A battery. Having it depend on variations of the main 70ah batteries could be too unstable and cause lock ups on high energy load / drain changes.
Bedroom inverter maintains battery charged to be there in case of power cuts, office inverter empties stored energy.
Holy crap! I somehow managed to take the reference implementation code from PEP 723 and turn it into something functional, for me.
Big time baby steps. I learned something this week!
