@jmc this is where it appears to hang on both machines, the top process on htop appears to be doing something, but it stays that way until I give up waiting (i left it overnight once).

Also, interestingly, the ksh93 process does not die when I Ctrl-C the nightly script.

I wondered if it could just be taking a really really long time due to the git status in oh-my-bash.

I have saved the log too, if you want it, but don't think i can post that here.
