Most of them are self explanatory like hurt/comfort for example which warn the reader about a fic that may hurt them and bring them comfort at the same time. But some like fluff, if you are unfamiliar with fanfiction, may be confusing. Fluff characterised wholesome stories.
If you need answers about some unknown tags you can ask on the AO3 reddit about it or search if someone didn’t already ask about it.

Now, let’s look at the additional tags. The Ao3 wrangling guidelines define additional tags as “tags added by the creator of a work to provide information they feel is important to the work. These can include warnings, tropes, and commentary.”
Those tags are visible after the name of characters on a work and sortable in the sort and filtering tool.

đź’ Did you know that Ao3 has Hidden search operators? You can type them in the Any field" box in the work search or in the "Search within results" box in the sort and filter tool.
For example :
restricted: true makes only restricted work appear
sort:title is used to sort works by title, from A to Z.
Or even words>1000 which shows works with more than 1000 words.
