Tested HDMI with the 2 wires added.
It works like a charm.

As the HDMI outputs are in IO zone 34 and the clock input is in 14, it was necessary to use a BUFG. Also, you need 2 MMCM or PLL to use 12MHz clock to achieve full HD@50Hz as shown on video

I forgot to connect pin 1 and 3 (the blue channel) in the Sindri board.

It can easily be fixed by connecting to the 2 pads:
UTILITY -> PIN1
HPD -> PIN3

As UTILITY/HPD is routed to a pair of differential pins.

Although it requires high-level soldering skills to pull off. So get Brian/Martin to help and limit the number of boards you ask them to help with.

Når i skal til at måle med skop. Er det et godt tip at montere en M2.5x20mm skrue sådan her, til GND clips.

We now have alle LEDs to view all 26 outputs 😁 And 13x resistors to make it easy.

And we have 74HC14 for the curious tinkerers..... Re the CMOS oscillator note.

The proper pinheaders just arrived. You can get Them at Brians workshop.

The #Sindri boards are ready. I will leave Them with Brian & Martin in the electronics workshop.

This batch appears not to suffer from startup problems, so omit the 47uf capacitor unless you encounter the problem. In that case, use a 47uf in the breadboard to move on quickly.

Getting ready to run a new course: Advanced applications of programmable logic #AAPL

Essentially, it is a "What can a Xilinx-7 FPGA do - hardware wise" course

It's an elective 'guided self-study' course. So, no teaching.

Students get a custom designed 'no nonsens' FPGA board. And access to notes, etc, from previous courses. And an oral pass/not passed exam in June.

The #Sindri FPGA board can be used in breadboard, as well as a sub-pcb and standalone. It has integral JTAG and UART via USB-C.

Så er forsøgsopstillingen klar.
Otte spoler kan levere magnetfelter til fremdrift. Hver spole er forbundet til en jævnspændingsforsyning justeret til at drive 5A gennem spolen. En omskifter kontakt kan tilkoble spolen med strømmen i den ene eller anden retning, eller frakoble den helt.

Formålet er at bruge kontakterne til at styre en magnetisk båd eller flåde rundt i poolen.
