This is a Application form for teams who would like to participate in the WiD Datathon. Rules include: Ensure your group has 4 people of which 50% need to be women and each group will be assigned a mentor by us (WiD) You Must attend the launch event on the 25th Friday of Nov virtually for 10:00 am to 13:30 pm You must submit your project on the platform by 1st December to attend the physical awarding event. You must have an ID card/Passport to attend the physical event at the venue on the 3rd of December at IBM Research Kenya in CUEA, Karen. You must be registered by your group leader as the list will be used by security at the entrance. (One member per group to register for the whole team) Prizes to be awarded to the first three teams. We were interested in how homes became electronic cottages for those lucky enough to work and zoom from home in 2020-21, and we wondered whether the wonderful prostheses that are PPE made front line workers into cyborgs too. And we explored if being radical cyborgs could also smash the conservatism of the "household", that traditional idea which suddenly became the organising unit for locked down societies. 🤖🦿🥳

I've written an essay with my colleague Emily Baker about whether the pandemic lockdowns made us all into cyborgs 🤖🤖
