Visiting family in LA = a trip to Little Tokyo, which used to be Little Manila. We always have to go to Fugetsu-Do for mochi and Nijaya market. Spawn 1 got an enamel pin of a soot sprite.

I don’t miss living in LA—the lack of green space, the car culture, the pain of Bel Air wealth co-existing with intense poverty—but I miss the neighborhoods that make up LA.

Let me talk about my #work:

- Director of Yolo #RainbowFamilies, a project of the Davis Phoenix Coalition. We have peer-support groups for #LGBTQ parents and parents of LGBTQ+ kids, #Queer #Teens in grade school, and LGBTQ+ young adults 18-25.

- A co-coordinator of ¿Un Cafecito?, a #leadership workshop for #Spanish -speaking #immigrant moms.

- #SocialMedia for a friend’s re-#election campaign for city council.

- And in my free time, fighting for #FairPay for #teachers in my school district!

Rough day for me, but I’m always grateful for #rain, and the #rainbow was a gift.

I feel like I’ve seen new depths of meanness in people since #2016, and it deepens my appreciation for the kind, generous, and thoughtful people in my #community of friends. Treating people with respect and compassion is #radical.

I faced an extremist right-wing group of cowardly amoebas last week, and all I got was this lousy #Halloween #costume.
